This morning I gave Ida her one-egg omelet with her breakfast,
like I usually do.
Today, though, instead of wolfing it down in two seconds flat,
she carried her omelet to the puppies.
The puppies, for their part, were more interested in nursing,
so eventually, Ida ate the omelet herself.
But it was lovely to witness. |

The weaning process has begun.
Puppies are being weaned onto
Wellness, Complete Health, Puppy, de-Boned Chicken, Oatmeal and Salmon.
Today they only got a tiny bit of the puppy kibble, mixed with some
goat milk, and followed up by Mama.
Over the next two weeks, they will slowly be getting more and more
of their calories from the kibble. |
